Frequently Asked Questions

How does Calot analyze my food entries?

Calot uses AI-powered analysis to understand your food descriptions. Simply type what you ate (e.g., "chicken breast 200g" or "large pizza slice"), and our system will automatically calculate the nutritional information including calories, protein, carbs, and fats.

How accurate is the nutritional information?

Our AI analyzes food entries using verified nutritional databases and provides source citations for transparency. We strive for high accuracy, but exact values may vary based on preparation methods and portion sizes.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

No! All your personal data (age, weight, goals, food logs) is stored locally on your device only. When you use AI analysis for a food entry, only the food text is sent to our servers for processing, and it's automatically deleted after 24 hours.

Do I need to create an account?

No account required! Calot works entirely on your device. This means your data is completely private, but it also means you're responsible for backing up your data if you switch devices.

Can I delete my food entries?

Yes! You can delete any food entry in your history by swiping left on the entry and tapping the delete button.

How do I set my daily calorie goals?

When you first open the app, you'll be guided through setting up your profile (age, weight, height, activity level). Calot will calculate recommended calorie and macro goals based on your information. You can adjust these manually anytime by going to the History tab, tapping the gear icon, then Settings → Daily Goals.

What happens if I delete the app or switch phones?

Since all data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app or switching phones will result in permanent loss of your data. Make sure to keep this in mind before uninstalling.

Do I need an internet connection to use Calot?

You need internet for AI-powered food analysis. However, you can manually log food entries and view your history offline. The AI analysis will process when you reconnect to the internet.

What platforms is Calot available on?

Calot is currently available for iOS devices on the App Store. It requires iOS 17.0 or later.

How do subscriptions work?

Calot offers premium features through in-app subscriptions managed by the App Store. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage your subscription through your Apple ID settings.

How can I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, go to your iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Calot, then tap Cancel Subscription. You'll still have access to premium features until the end of your billing period.
